    Hello! Simms Integrative Health Services is a new practice in the area that provides members of the community with psychotherapy, massage, nutritional education and yoga. The combination of these services have been shown to be beneficial as they work together to heal both emotional and physical wounds concurrently. All of our services will be provided under one roof making it accessible to all of our clients and we accept many forms of insurance as well. There are multiple psychotherapists and counselors providing services and they are well trained and specialize in a variety of issues (Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, Depression, Substance Abuse, Trauma, LGBT, Family, Couples, Parenting, Anger, ADHD, Grief and Loss, OCD, Psychosis, etc.), with multiple populations (children, adolescents, adults and seniors) as well as an in-house massage therapist and nutrition specialists.

My belief is that therapy is a collaboration in which the client is the expert in his/her life and I bring a variety of theraputic experience and techniques to the process .Part of the excitement of being a counselor is bearing witness to the process of growth and healing.

I have been able to develop my abilities in a way of optimizing a person's success. I have seen so many people from all walks of life, which has provided me with a deep insight and a practical view of variety problems that people are facing. I approach all who I see with the same respect, humility and dignity that I would want for myself or one of my loved one experiencing similar pains. Rather than seeing a sick person walking through my doors, I see an amazingly strong person who is willing to take the first step in their path of rejuvenation. My clients will leave my office with a better understanding and practical applications to be successful in any situation they encounter. Along with personalized treatment plans, my office provides a home like atmosphere that is very comforting and welcoming for everybody who comes in. I provide people with tools and different ways of thinking about their obstacles, so they may encounter their own success.

  • Terry Lusher, LPC

    Terry Lusher, LPC, is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of West Virginia. He started Encouraging Words, Inc. along with his wife Deborah in 1996. As a Vietnam veteran, he is able to relate to survivor and trauma recovery issues. Terry brings a wealth of professional skills and personal experiences to his therapeutic relationships. He spent about twenty years working with emotionally and behaviorally disturbed adolescents in treatment programs in Texas, Oklahoma, North Carolina and West Virginia. Terry works with individuals and families dealing with a wide range of issues and concerns. Specializing in non-traditional therapies, Terry often successfully treats the more difficult problems that clients present and for whom the traditional therapies have not worked. Terry treats a variety of issues using QEEG Analysis and Neurofeedback. Neurofeedback is designed to literally do " Brain Training". This technique teaches a person's brain to self regulate. Neurofeedback is a very effective approach for treating ADHD, anxiety, depression, PTSD, chronic pain, migraines, etc. Many clients report significant relief very quickly.
